The olives used in the making of Organic Hippocrates Olive Oil come from Cyprus, a land with soil rich in iodine, lime and mineral deposits.

We pick the best olives- Koroneiki olives, rich in phenolic compounds without a trace of pesticides or chemical fertilizer.

These potent Koroneiki olives are then pressed at low temperature in a vacuum, in the absence of air and light, allowing the fruit’s antioxidant and nutritional properties to be fully preserved.

To ensure that the good properties of our Organic Hippocrates Extra Virgin Olive Oil are not altered in any way, extraction, bottling and storage of our oil is done in the same factory to prevent oxidation and rancidity of our product. The oil is stored in stainless steel tanks and capped with nitrogen immediately after extraction.

• Oil Pulling - Upon rising, take half-tablespoon Hippocrates Olive Oil and swish oil through all the gaps between your teeth for 5 to 10 minutes to draw out toxins. Spit out after pulling toxins and brush teeth with toothbrush only. This will help to detoxify and protect teeth.

• Oleocanthal is a natural organic compound responsible for the peppery "bite" of extra virgin olive oil. Oleocanthal is a tyrosol ester. It is suggested that long-term consumption of small quantities of oleocanthal from olive oil may be responsible in part for the low incidence of heart disease associated with a Mediterranean diet.
• Tyrosol is a phenolic antioxidant that protects cells against injury due to oxidation. Its higher concentration and good bioavailability may have an important overall effect on the health benefits of olive oil.
• Hydroxytyrosol is a phytochemical believed to be one of the most powerful antioxidants. Its oxygen radical absorbance capacity is 40,000 umolTE/g, which is ten times higher than green tea.
